Pastor Mike Cobb & Terri
Pastor Mike Cobb is a native of Asheville, NC. He holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration & Management from Georgia State University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
He is married to Terri, his best friend and ministry partner, and they have 3 precious children: Joshua, Hannah, and Daniel.
His experience includes serving as pastor at Valencia Hills Community Church in Valencia California from 2000 – 2010; Asheville Community Church in Asheville, NC from 1994 – 1999, and Ratcliffe Cove Baptist Church in Waynesboro, NC from 1990 – 1994.
Pastor Mike has been involved in two church plants, one in North Carolina and one in California. While serving in North Carolina, he and Terri felt God calling them to step out in faith and plant a new church. Though not knowing anyone in California, they followed God’s leadership and moved across the country to begin a new work. This church began with only the two of them and grew to four services during the ten year period they were there. Once again, Pastor Mike felt God calling him to step out in faith and await His call. In October of 2010, they packed everything and moved to Texas awaiting God’s direction. Several months later Fair Haven began a dialog that ended in Mike becoming our new pastor. If we could list all the chain of events that led to this call, you would understand that God’s timing was in place for Mike to become Fair Haven’s pastor.
